About Kristy Jessup, RMT
In April 2009, Kristy graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough with honours. Her passion, previous study and experience in health care allowed her to excel in both theory and the practical aspects of Massage Therapy. In June 2009, nominated by her professors, Kristy received the Elsevier Canada Book Award, awarded for above average interest and achievement in the pathologies and treatment of the human body.
She has been an active member of both the College of Massages Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO) since August 2009.
Kristy enjoys expanding her knowledge and has studied under other RMTs and instructors in such areas as Craniosacral Therapy, Low Level Intensity Laser Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, Hot Stone massage, Aromatherapy and spa treatments like body wraps, specialty foot treatments and Colour Therapy.

Kristy was raised in Guelph, Ontario, has lived in Sarasota, Florida in the early 90's, and also loved her time living in St. Stephen's, New Brunswick.
Early in life, Kristy came to work for her parents in the family business at BioPed Footcare Centre, specializing in lower limb biomechanics, foot ailments, custom made orthotics and orthopedic footwear.
Kristy was a well rounded and multitalented student. She played flute in the school bands and later took up (and continues to hone) trumpet playing. During her school years she was active in school groups and played a variety of sports, mainly Badminton, Basketball, Soccer and Hockey.
After graduating from high school with honours, Kristy completed two years in the Health Studies program (Applied Health Sciences faculty) at the University of Waterloo. Her favourite areas of study include Anatomy, Gerontology, Philosophy and the Canadian Health Care System.
As well, Kristy was a member of the Waterloo Warriors varsity Badminton team at UW from 1999-2001. Through a Co-operative placement in 2001, she had the pleasure of working with the gifted staff and wonderful patients of Scarborough Community Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Also, during this time at Waterloo, Kristy met her husband and best friend. In 2003, Mike and Kristy married and settled in the beautiful Historic town of Port Hope located on Lake Ontario. Together, we enjoy canoeing, hiking, swimming, rock collecting, gardening, fishing and camping... even honeymooning in a converted Ranger's Cabin in Algonquin park!
